ESL Scoring–Speaking or Writing

Work remotely from home within the states of Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, or Wisconsin. No training or working in other states at this time.

Score ESL Speaking or Writing tests. Use rubrics and scoring guides to score hand-written essays or recorded spoken responses in stringent adult English language proficiency exams administered around the world.

REQUIRED Specific credentials and experience:

Already-completed minimum 120-hour TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification; or an M.A. in TESOL (a state teaching license endorsement or certification does not qualify).
Experience teaching English as a foreign/second language to ages high school to adult (experience with younger students does not qualify)
Completed bachelor’s degree

Please specify in your application how you meet each of these three requirements.

Preferred experience:

Formal assessment of English language competence of non-native speakers
Teaching of English for Academic or Specific Purposes, or to medical professionals/trainees

Dates: This project is ongoing. 12–15 hours of paid training required. Must pass end of training tests to qualify for work. Scoring queues are re-stocked every two weeks.

Schedule: Minimum of 16 hours per week required. Shifts available 7 days a week, 6 am–10 pm. Minimum 6 month commitment required.

Wage: $17/hour
